Between 1860 and 1879, the Maison Caillebotte and its garden were the property of the Caillebotte family. This is where Gustave Caillebotte, patron and renowned impressionist painter, practiced his art there and produced more than 80 paintings.
A visit to Maison Caillebotte will immerse you in the spirit of a holiday home from the end of the 19th century and allow you to discover the life of his family and their passions.
Thus, you will discover the dining room and the living room, the adjoining billiard room, entirely redecorated. The family room, the highlight of the visit, has found its original furniture.
The atmosphere of the painter's workshop is restored and, in the museum rooms, you will follow the history of the Caillebotte property, now considered one of the high places of impressionism in our country.
The Caillebotte Property offers you a place to stroll and relax, in an 11 hectare park dotted with its ornamental factories. The Ferme Ornée and the Orangery host temporary exhibitions (see program on website).
